Affiliate Membership

The IALP is very important in this world which is becoming increasingly more international.

International exchange of professional knowledge, information and education is essential to quality services and science in our discipline.

The IALP encourages international co-operation for science and services and fosters communication across nations and among professionals. There is no other organization that allows and fosters professional knowledge and exchange of science and services across 55 affiliated societies in 35 countries around the world.

The affiliated societies of the IALP are in North and South America, Asia, Africa, Australia en Europe and represent 230,000 members. Affiliation with the IALP is thus the connection between individuals and professionals in your country and those around the world.

JOIN THE 55 NATIONAL ORGANISATIONS AFFILIATED WITH THE IALP

As an Affiliated Society of the IALP your association receives the following:

1. Opportunity to collaborate with colleagues throughout the world on matters of interest to the professions.
2. A subscription to our scientific journal Folia Phoniatrica et Logopaedica which contains the IALP News (6 issues per year).
3. Invitation to send delegates to represent your association at the General Assembly meetings at the Tri-Annual congress meeting of the IALP (2010 in Athens and 2013 in Turin, Italy).
4. Invitation to nominate members to serve on the IALP Board.
5. Invitation to submit a bid to host a World Congress of the IALP.
6. Invitation to special programs of the IALP.
7. Affiliated Societies are enable to organize Special Composia in conjunction with an IALP Committee.
8. Members of your society will receive a reduced fee for registration at the Congresses.
9. Listing in the directory of affiliated societies on the IALP webpage and all rosters of affiliated members of the IALP.
10. Possibility to promote your society, events and meetings at the IALP website.

How do we become an Affiliated Society of the IALP?

When your national society wishes to join the IALP as an Affiliated Society, you need to send the Application Form for IALP Affiliated Membership.

We also need to receive (in English) your:

1. Mission Statement
2. By-Laws/Constitution and/or
3. Regulations.
